6 Day wildlife and Mombasa beach holiday

Day 1: Arrival and Nairobi City Tour

On your arrival at Jomo Kenya International Airport, you will find our driver guide ready to pick you up for a city tour. Nairobi is a peaceful city full of surprises, with lots of art and culture, incredible social initiatives and a vibrant nightlife scene. It stands out as the only city in the world with a big 5 national park on its doorstep, Nairobi National Park. During this tour, you will explore some of the important historical landmarks in the city, including the parliament buildings, Uhuru Freedom park, Kenyatta International Convention center, the Savova Stanley among others.

The number of attractions you will visit will depend on how much time is left to 6pm, a time when you will be transferred to your hotel before traffic heats up.

Day 2: Transfer to Amboseli National Park

After morning breakfast, you will depart for Amboseli National Park, a lush wildlife paradise at the foot of Africa’s highest mountain, Mountain Kilimanjaro. It doesn’t disappoint when it comes to offering sightings of big herds of giraffes, elands, zebras, buffaloes, warthogs, olive baboons. Most of these can be seen in its dusty plains and marshy swamps. Put simply, it is worth the nine hours road trip you will pursue to get to the park.

Overnight at any lodge of your preference in Amboseli.

Day 3: Transfer to Tsavo East National Park

After early morning breakfast, you will have a game viewing in Amboseli in pursuit for animals you might have missed out on seeing the previous day. This will be followed with a departure to the beautiful Tsavo East national park via the Great Rift Valley. Tsavo’s landscape features miles of open plains, semi-arid shrub and bushy grassland, and a metamorphic rock known as Mudanda. It is home to all the big five in addition to countless herds of giraffes. The best viewing spot is the Galana river which is fringed by riverine forests. Tsavo is one of the few places to chance on fringed-eared oryx, lesser kudu and the critically endangered hirola.

Day 4: Game drive in Tsavo East National Park

After early morning breakfast, you will head out for another thrilling game drive. Thanks to strict conservation laws, the park has an extraordinary range of 500 species of birds. Game viewing experiences here aren’t as irritating as it is in some other parks as it is not crowded with tourists. Tsavo is home to the Daphne Sheldrake Sanctuary. Here, the older elephant orphans are breeded for release back into the wild. Throughout your stay in the park, you will be accompanied by an expert ranger guide who will share the life stories of these gentle giants and so much more.

Day 5: Transfer to Diani

Diani is a Kenyan coastal town with beautiful wild scenery that is incredibly peaceful. It is dominated by white sand beaches and forests of towering coconut trees. At this earthly paradise, you will find lots of magnificent resorts where you can enjoy your holiday.

Thanks to the sweeping breeze of the Indian Ocean here, it doesn’t feel hot even in dry months. For much of the year, Diani is totally revitalizing, and clean with minimal plastic and litter! Even better, the turquoise water of the vast ocean provides a refreshing swimming experience as it is warm, especially in the shallows of low tide.

One of the things that make Diani truly special is that it is one of the last places that have not been swarmed by too many tourists. Unlike Mombasa, it is not noisy, nor too busy. This makes it a splendid place to take a jog, or take a leisurely evening stroll as you meditate.

Day 6: Return to Nairobi ahead of your flight

After breakfast, you will set off for your return journey to Nairobi, departing from Moi International Airport.
