Kalinzu Forest can easily be visited en route to Queen Elizabeth National Park. We have been lucky enough to see a chimps cross the road before we even reached the activity point where the tracking starts.

Kalinzu Forest

Chimpanzee trekking in this pristine forest is about 3 hours and best of all; the tracks are easy to negotiate. Your chances of seeing chimps are very high even on rainy days. All through, you will be in the company of guides who are truly passionate about conservation. Brace yourself for rewarding views of unique biodiversity.

Kalinzu is also a birding hotspot and walking on the main road is the best way to see birds in the canopy.

The only limitation of Kalinzu is that it doesn’t have accommodation. In turn, this makes it not possible to pursue a night forest walk as there is no place to base.
